How to prep your face for Lioele's face masks!

I have a big event for me later this week so I was planning on using one of my Lioele face mask. It dawn on me that I don’t have a How To on prepping your face for face masks. I want this guide to go beyond the basic instructions that the face mask’s packages provide, because when you prep your face the proper way then you can see the best results from your Lioele products.

What you will need:

Exfoliate (I will be using a homemade one, a honey and sugar scrub.)

Green tea

Hot water

Towel

Cleasner

Lioele Facial Mask of your choice!

Step 1: Clean Your Face!

This step is usually the only step that is included on the package and it is the most important one! You can really expect your face to get all of the great benefits that Lioele’s mask provide without getting rid of all the dirt and grime of the day. For this step, I like to use my Lioele Cranberry Cleanser to help get my skin ready for the next step.

Step 2: Scrub your Face!

Exfoliate! I liked to exfoliate my skin after cleansing because I want to make sure to get out all my dead skin that might be clogging my pores preventing the facial mask from getting deep into my skin. There are some commercial exfoliates that you can pick up from your local drugstore but I like to keep it homemade and use my honey sugar scrub.

Bonus: Honey Sugar Scrub Recipe

1 tbsp. Honey

2 tbsp. Sugar

Small bowl to mix in

And that’s the Honey Sugar Scrub recipe! While it doesn’t look like much, it is enough to cover your whole face twice! The last time that I made the Honey Sugar Scrub, I had to get my roommates to use some because the recipe made so much.

Step 3: Steam your Face!

I will admit this might be my least favorite step but I do see great results from it. First you can boil your water, if you have a teapot you might want to do there. After the water comes to a boil, take your green tea and drop in a cup or a bowl whichever you prefer. Next take the towel and drape it over your head. Make sure that you cover the whole cup or bowl so that the steam can hit your face. Hang out here for 5-10 minutes. This step helps to open up your pores so that when you are using your face mask, the essence can really get in deep.

If you tried to steam your skin and don’t like you can always just take a towel soak in hot water until it steams and place it gently on your face. Be careful not to burn yourself!

Today we will be reviewing Lioele’s Essential Red Ginseng Mask!

Since I have gotten really good results with Lioele’s Essential Honey Mask, I have been wanting to try out the Red Ginseng Mask as well. The Lioele Essential Red Ginseng Mask sheet is a great for whenever you feel like your skin is feeling tired. The Red Ginseng component of the mask helps to perk up your complexion, so it should look tired after using the mask. I was noticing some dark circles under my eyes so I decided it was time to use my Essential Red Ginseng Mask.

Appearance

The mask is like the rest of the Essential line,  a plain, white sheet mask. I was kind of expecting the mask to be red but I understand that the essences tend to be the most distilled part of any ingredient. Although, if the mask was red, it would have been really cool. The essence did have a medical smell to it. It wasn’t overpowering enough that I wanted to take off the mask but it also wasn’t as soothing as other masks. The Essential Line has to be my favorite line out of all of Lioele’s masks because the fit of the mask is alway good.

I had a very different experience with the essence of the mask than other essences that I have tried. Usually the essence of the mask is very subtle,but the Essential Red Ginseng mask was not. I was very impressive because for the full 20 minutes of wearing the mask, it didn’t stop tingling. Even when I took the mask off, my face continue to tingle. For me, the tingling of the mask felt as if the mask was helping my tired skin become more energetic and helped me feel like the mask was doing its job. 

Use

Like I said in the previous paragraph, the mask didn’t stop tingling for about 5 minutes after using the mask. I like that aspect of the mask because it felt like the mask was working overtime for me and I got to experience the full range of benefits of the mask. The next day, I did notice less dark circles and some of the fullness of my face came back. My face did feel firmer, which was unexpected. I like this extra benefit of the mask because not only did the Essential Red Ginseng mask take care of my tired skin but it also help firm up my overall complexion. 

Recommendation

The Essential Red Ginseng mask boast that it can help cure your tired skin. Now that I have tried the Essential Red Ginseng mask, I agree with its boasts. The Red Ginseng mask helped to perk my complexion while at the same helped my skin to regain its firmness. Although, the tingling might be too much for people with sensitive skin, so you might want to look for a mask that would be more gentle for your face. If you are looking for a mask that revitalizes and firms your skin then the Essential Red Ginseng mask is the one for you.

My last trip out to Lioele Texas, I picked up the Essential masks because I had run out of the Essence mask pack that I had before. The first one that I have used so far is the Aloe mask. The Aloe mask boasts multiple healing properties, can help with reducing acne and preventing it as well as brightening the complexion. I started out with this mask because I’m currently starting to breakout and I wanted to see if the Aloe mask with its acne prevention could help my skin before it got too bad.

Today we will be reviewing Lioele’s Cranberry Vita Shake Pack!

The Cranberry Vita shake pack is a great way to help get oily skin under control. This mask boasts that it can help  tighten pores and reduce sebum secretions. As I have claim numerous times on this blog,I have really oily skin and I constantly suffer from breakouts. The reason for my most recent breakout is the fact I had gotten lazy and stop using my BB cream. Since my skin wasn’t getting the help that it was used to, I had a massive breakout in retaliation. I wanted to use the Cranberry mask to get control of my skin after its massive rebellion. 

Appearance

The mask, like the rest in the series, is a clear gel-like essence. Unlike some of the mask in the series, such as the Blueberry or the Papaya, it does not have any color tints to it. While I enjoy having that feature as a part of my mask, it’s not really necessary. The scent of the mask was a pleasant sweet, fruity scent. I didn’t find it accuracy of a cranberry scent but it was something that I enjoy nonetheless. Since the mask had a pleasant scent to it, the Cranberry mask didn’t bother me to have it on longer than usually. I really wanted the full effect of the mask so I used the max time.

The Cranberry mask wasn’t very sticky and only dried out in a few places but not overall. I expected it to dry out completely since I was using the whole time frame, instead of the usual 5 minutes. This could a feature that interests anybody reading, since no one wants to scrub a mask off their face. Some of the Vita Shake mask can be hard to take off since they aren’t the Paper Mask so this could be a special benefit for you if you don’t like messy masks.

After Use

The first thing I notice when I washed off the mask that my skin was very soft. While I wasn’t hoping for softer skin, it was still a nice benefit to the mask. The blemishes that I had were smaller but not completely gone which was kind of disappointing. The next day, I notice that the blemishes that I had were smaller than the night before so I feel that the Cranberry Vita Shake mask helps blemishes to heal faster. While the mask also boasted that it would tighten my skin, I really didn’t see much of a difference. Then again, I don’t have loose skin problems to often so that could also be the case.

Recommendation

I would recommend the Cranberry Vita Shake because when I used the mask I felt that it lived up to its boasts. I think that this mask is great for those who are suffering a long breakout because it helps to speed up the healing process. Like I said earlier, I don’t know if does tighten the skin because I didn’t notice any difference but that could be just my experience with mask. I feel that like this is a great mask to add to any beauty regimen.

Clean out those pores with Lioele's Pore Control Essence Mask!

The Pore Control Essence Mask is great for cleaning clogged pores that might causes acne or breakouts. This mask is great for those who have oily skin, like me, or has the occasional breakout.  The main benefit of the mask is that it helps to reduce the junk that gets clogged in your pore by controlling sebum secretion. The Pore Control Essence mask helps not only to reduce sebum secretion but also helps to reduce pore size. I wanted to try this mask out because I do have oily skin and I have really horrible breakout so I wanted to see if this mask could help me with my skin issues.

Get peeling with Lioele Papaya Vita Shake Pack

Today I will be reviewing the Lioele Papaya Vita Shake pack!

This Vita Shake pack is great for stripping away all that build up dead skin and junk clogging up your pores. I have been using makeup everyday lately and I like to periodically clear out all of the junk from my skin. This mask is great for me because I tend to have some debris left over from my cleansers so I really like using the Lioele Papaya Vita Shake. The Papaya Vita Shake specialty is peeling away dead skin. I think that it’s important to use masks like the Papaya Vita Shake because not every cleanser is going to help remove all of the debris that gets trapped in your pores. I wanted to try the Papaya Vita Shake mask because I have had such success with the other masks in the Vita Shake collection that I wanted to see if the Papaya Vita shake could help me out.

Appearance

The Papaya Vita Shake mask has a fruity fragrance which I feel isn’t as authentic as the rest of the Vita Shake packs but was nice enough to lather on my face. I tend to have a lot to say about the scent of the different masks but with the Papaya Vita Shake I was happy enough with the smell of the mask that I wasn’t discouraged to use it. I think that even if the mask smelt like a Papaya I wouldn’t know what a Papaya smelt like to judge so all in all I was satisfied.

The appearance of the mask is much like the others- a clear gel. Unlike the other mask in the collection, the Papaya Vita Shake mask was much stickier. I found the stickiness to be helpful in getting all of that dead skin and debris out my face. It was only sticky when it was wet though so you shouldn’t have to worry about struggling to get the mask off.

After Use

After washing the mask off, I could immediately tell that my skin was softer than before. For me, I don’t see the effects of a mask until the next day, so when I woke up I notice my skin didn’t seem as ashen. The Papaya Vita Shake mask really pulled all of the junk that was lingering in my skin, so my skin could breathe again. My skin seems to be more vibrant due to the mask. It’s really important if you use makeup every day to take some time to thoroughly cleanse your skin so you don’t have a buildup of dead skin in your pores. This also helps your skin to prevent breakout since your cleaning out the junk that makes blemishes.

Recommendation

I fully recommend the Papaya Vita Shake mask because I think peeling masks are essential in people beauty regiments. The Papaya Vita Shake mask left my skin feeling so smooth and soft and helped removed all of the junk that was in my skin. This mask delivered on everything I wanted a peeling mask to do. Lioele makes a superb product and I think this a mask that everyone should take a chance on. 

Brighten your day with the Perfect Essence Brightening Mask

The Perfect Essence Brightening Mask is a great mask for those who have trouble with dark spots on their complexions. It doesn’t even have to be dark spots; it can also be scars, old blemishes, and dead skin. The Brightening Mask helps to lighten those troublesome spots so your complexion can become clear and even. I personally used the mask for the dark spots that I have on my face, so I was eager to slap the Perfect Essence Brightening Mask on to see if it could help me.
